At Oaks of Hebron we daily get to work with people who are one of the most vulnerable in our society with realizing their dream of living independently and interacting with their community. Oaks of Hebron services assist many people with developmental disabilities to be able to live, work and be in their community. We are currently looking for Personal Assistants/Caregiver.
As Personal Assistant, you will support clients who live in their own home with activities of daily living. With your desire to make a difference you will teach/support your clients the following:
- Money Management
- Household chores and maintenance
- Exercise and nutrition-healthy meal preparation
- Recreational skills-social outings
- Monitor medication and accompany clients to medical appointments
- General social and emotional skills
- Support clients with community integration and development of social skills through recreational activities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships client teams
- Other life events
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or G.E.D.
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Must be able to pass a health exam, drug test and criminal background clearance
- Reliable transportation
- To drive for the company, this position requires staff to have a valid California Driver’s License, a working vehicle and legal minimum California Drivers Insurance to operate their vehicle and be insurable under agency policy if driving a company or personal vehicle.
Pay range: $19.00 to $21.00 depending on experience.
