What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Oakshire Commons?
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
· Cleanliness & Appearance of:
· Exterior of Building, Hallway Flooring (i.e. shampooing), Hallway Walls, Landscaping, Roofing, and any job or task performed that may create a mess
· Damage Prevention and Common Upkeep of:
· Flooring, Walls, Electrical, Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Air filtration, Residential TV systems, Public Restrooms, Kitchen Utilities (stoves, refrigerators, freezers, dishwasher, & storage), Laundry Rooms and Machines, as well as mechanical
· When necessary act as an aide and guide to professionals of the above mentioned trades
· Transport and Placement of Heavy Objects:
· This can range from residential furniture and possessions to waste that needs disposed of that is difficult for Personal Care Providers (PCP), Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP), and/or any other personnel of the facility
· Fire & Safety:
· Responsible for monthly emergency lighting tests, monthly fire extinguisher inspections, monthly fire sprinkler room checks, act as a guide for inspectors and workers of fire safety equipment in facility, and be a vital participant in fire drills, or an actual event
· Snow Removal & Slip Prevention:
· This involves the entire perimeter of the facility to ensure the safety of the public, third party workers, staff, and residents
· Purchase Tracking:
§ Responsible to obtain and provide receipts of any purchases made on authorized cards or accounts to either the Finance Officer, COO or Operations Manager
§ When Short Staffed:
· Assist where necessary and be prompt as well as willing to help when asked (But, ensure necessary tasks as a maintenance technician are complete or are going to be complete after assisting other staff)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
