Overview:
Previous experience in completing Oakton's Basic Nurse Aide Training preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Able to communicate information clearly in person, over the telephone or e mail. Proficient in computer skills including e mail, word and excel. Able to work independently on specific projects once trained. Must have an attention to detail.
Word processing, spreadsheets, copying, in person and telephone triage for incoming calls regarding registration for BNAT and Elder Care program.
Will work closely with chair and department assistant in maintaining and updating processes for efficiency in the department. Will assist in proofreading forms to be submitted to state of Illinois.

Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes :
- Previous experience in completing Oakton's Basic Nursing Assistant Program. (CD)
- Provide office support with general projects including but not limited to: filing, scanning, shredding, and copying. (PF)
- Participate in monthly department meetings. (CM)
- Complete pre and post assignment evaluations to address performance. (CD)
- Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of paperwork containing personal or academic information of faculty, staff and students.
- Excellent organizational skills, work closely with Department Chair, Department Assistant and BNAT Advising Specialist. (CM/PS)
- Proficient in email, Word, Excel, able to communicate clearly and pay attention to detail. (CM, PS, TC)
- Assist in proof reading documents before submission to IDPH. (CD, PF, CT)

Candidate Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Other abilities):
- Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours during Spring 2025 semester.
- Must have an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher and be in good standing at Oakton College.
- Must be making satisfactory progress as defined by Oakton's Standards of Academic Progress policy toward achieving their educational goals.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Demonstrated reliability and responsibility.
- Friendly, flexible, organized, courteous, and punctuality a must.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills with strong detail orientation preferred.
