About the Position:

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating Meat processing equipment and high-speed packaging lines in the production room. This individual must possess knowledge of assembling and disassembling various machines and ensuring all equipment runs efficiently throughout the shift. This position reports to the Production Supervisor(s).

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

• Operate processing machines/equipment and ensure each is running efficiently throughout the production shift
• Assemble and disassemble machine(s) as necessary and understand when adjustments are needed
• Change labels and recipes in the machine as needed
• Execute job functions safely, leading by example to staff
• Ensure full compliance of all company policies and procedures that pertain to the ongoing operation of the Meat processing room
• Ensure execution of cleaning and sanitation practices that are in strict accordance with both
• Government regulation and Verde Farms Meat Production policies and procedures
• Ensure proper Health & Safety practices are adhered to in an effort towards optimizing efficiency, work safety and food safety
• Provide additional support and perform other duties as requested by management, within the scope and abilities
  
  

Summary of Experience and Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to multitask and communicate with personnel of all levels and cultural backgrounds
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Meat processing plant & High packaging line experience
• OEE Software experience preferred
• Strong work ethic, communication skills in English, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely across departments
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment and follow safety rules, SOPs, and GMP guidelines set in place
• Superior standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety
• Possess a team-oriented approach to tasks
• Ability to work in a cold environment (27*F- 45*F)
• Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedures set forth by Verde Farms
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedures set forth by Verde Farms
• Bilingual in Spanish (is a plus, not a requirement)
• Highly collaborative, perceptive, and operate with integrity
