Responsibilities
The Paralegal will be a member of our flagship Global Opportunities department. This role will work with investment professionals (including two senior embedded attorneys), our Corporate Legal, Tax and Accounting Departments and other corporate support groups and portfolio companies on matters related to investments made and held by the funds, supporting the review and negotiation of various agreements related to fund activities, provide support to business groups and other investment team matters. Responsibilities will include:
Working with the investment team and outside counsel to assist with transaction execution including finalizing definitive documentation and execution and closing of transactions
Assisting with reviewing transaction documentation in connection with comments delivered from the investment team to outside counsel
Assisting with investment entity structuring and compliance policy integration with portfolio company policies and procedures
Assisting with inbound requests for information on investments held within the funds to support regulatory, investor and other inquiries
Responding to “know your customer” requests from Oaktree counterparties and collecting documents in connection with such requests and deal related matters
Assisting with document production for legal proceedings
Collaborating with and providing backup support for other team members, as necessary; and other matters in connection with special projects that arise from time to time.
Qualifications
3+ years Paralegal experience working in the transactional legal industry or with financial institutions Experience with closing transactions, M&A deals, loan closings, restructuring deals, and/or private equity
Strong negotiation, communication, writing and editing skills
Careful reviewer of documentation
Strong attention to detail
Outstanding analytic and organizational skills

Base Salary Range
$95,000 - $120,000
In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement. The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
