Role Summary

As a Director of Advisory Services, you will lead the delivery of complex cybersecurity consulting engagements, serving as a trusted advisor to client partners while driving meaningful outcomes that strengthen their security posture. This role requires a strategic thinker who can seamlessly navigate between technical expertise and business acumen, ensuring that solutions align with both cybersecurity frameworks and organizational goals. By leading projects across diverse domains such as security posture assessments, business continuity planning, AI defense strategies, and insider risk management, you will enable clients to proactively address threats and capitalize on opportunities to enhance resilience and efficiency.

In addition to client delivery, this role is pivotal in team leadership, mentoring team members to develop their skills and achieve excellence in service delivery. You will contribute to the firm's thought leadership by participating in industry events, creating impactful content, and staying at the forefront of emerging cybersecurity trends. This role is ideal for an individual who excels at building client relationships and is passionate about advancing the field of cybersecurity through innovative solutions and a collaborative approach.

Essential Duties

Service Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of client engagements, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and budget across the following areas :
  • Serve as a Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO)
  • Security Posture Maturity / Gap Assessments (NIST / ISO / DFS, etc.).
  • Business Impact Assessments / Cyber Security Risk Assessments.
  • Business Continuity Programs / Disaster Recovery Programs.
  • Technology Rationalization Strategies
  • Third Party Risk Management Assessments
  • Tabletop Exercises
  • AI Security Defense Strategies
  • Insider Risk Management Program Development
  • Policy / Procedures Review / Development.
  • Incident Response Plan and Playbook Development
  • Propose new creative solutions that help drive value and risk reduction for clients
  • Present findings and maturity opportunities to both technical teams and C-suite stakeholders, bridging the gap between cybersecurity and business priorities.
  • Act as the main point of escalation for client issues, ensuring swift resolution and sustained satisfaction.
  • Oversee project teams to ensure deliverables meet high-quality standards and align with client expectations.
  • Monitor engagement profitability, proactively managing resources and mitigating risks to maintain financial targets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Thought Leadership

  • Contribute to creating marketing and sales content, including case studies, white papers, and presentations.
  • Participate in industry discussions and client events to represent the firm’s expertise.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity trends, sharing insights with clients and the internal team.
  • Qualifications

    Education

  • College Degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications such as CCISO, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, Security , CISA, CBCP, or MBCP are preferred.
  • Experience

  • 7 years of IT / IT Security experience, preferably in a cybersecurity-focused organization serving medium to large-scale enterprise customers.
  • Experience working with common cybersecurity and IT technologies.
  • Experience in a decision-making capacity, including the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to travel domestically 20%-30% of the time.
  • Technical Skills :

  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and frameworks such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, ISO, NIST, CIS Critical Security Controls, and standard IT controls.
  • Strong skillset with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Soft Skills

  • Effective communication skills, including verbal, report writing, and presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strategic planning and program execution skills.
  • Ability to support multiple client projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, with little supervision, and within a team environment.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture.
  • Sharp attention to detail and strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex solutions, highlighting and summarizing key points.
