What you'll do
Report directly to the President of the Accounting & Taxation divisionLead teams of accountants, tax preparers, bookkeepers, and relationship managersParticipate in company strategic planning discussions with senior leadership teamRelationship Manager to the firm’s top corporate and individual relationshipsPerform fractional CFO services for our top small and medium sized business clientsPrepare financial reports, cash flow forecasting, budgets, and other financial reports for our business clients.Prepare tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, and all types of corporations such as S-Corps, Partnerships, C-Corps, and Not-for-Profits with a focus on ensuring accuracy and recommendations for both short- and long-term tax savingsReview tax returns and bookkeeping prepared by others within the company for accuracy and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesCorrespond with Federal and State taxing authorities, as neededSpecial projects leading to the overall growth of the organizationWork closely with our wealth management financial advisors.Qualifications
Candidate must be willing to work in our Fort Myers, Florida (33907) office during tax season and during most client appointments; flexible hours and occasionally working from home or remotely is acceptable after April 30thIdeal candidates will be highly motivated with the desire and skills to move up quickly within the organizationCollege or Advanced Degree, preferably in AccountingCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled AgentTen (10) years or more experience in accounting and taxationStrong understanding and ability to provide tax planning advice and to build trusted relationships with the firm’s small businesses and individualsAbility to prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts, and estates.Strong understanding and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to financial statements.Experience working as a company CFO or performing fractional CFO services for small and medium-sized companiesProfessional demeanor, friendly, enjoys working with othersAbility to work well with a team of professionalsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivatedDetail orientedExcellent organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.Experience with Intuit QuickBooks Desktop and Online versionsExperience with Intuit ProSeries and ProConnect is preferred but not requiredComputer literate in Microsoft 365, Adobe, and other business-related softwarePI4b522928bb6b-25405-36349827
