What are the responsibilities and job description for the R&D Formulations Internship position at Oakwood Labs?
The R&D Internship will provide you with hands-on experience developing polymer based pharmaceutical products with exposure to pre-formulation experiments, product formulation testing, and process scale-up ranging from laboratory to pilot scale. This internship will also provide opportunities for coaching and mentoring, involvement with multidisciplinary teams working on pharmaceutical product development, and presenting a summary of your work to the R&D team.
We are looking for Bachelors students who have completed at least their junior year majoring in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or similar degrees. Candidates should have strong communication skills, an eagerness to learn, team focus, high self-motivation, and a desire to work in a laboratory setting.
- The typical summer term is 10 to 12 weeks beginning in May
- The internship will be in-person in the Cleveland, Ohio area
- Housing assistance, if needed, includes a monthly stipend
- Temporary housing can be coordinated through Oakwood, but is the students responsibility
- Transportation is the students responsibility
- Full time availability (40 hours per week)
- Pay rate is $20.00/hr
