Oakwood Residential Facility is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our team for the night shift. In this role, you will oversee the nursing staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have previous charge or supervisory experience and a strong commitment to providing exceptional care.
Location : 2441 South Highway 27, Somerset, KY 42501
Shift : PM
Pay : Starting at $34.89 and increases with experience
Sign-On Bonus : $2,500
Responsibilities :
Charge Nurses provide direct supervision and management of the Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. Works to ensure optimal resident care across all shifts. Will maintain staffing patterns needed to provide quality resident care and to ensure staffing daily. Completes unit rounds multiple times per day. Conducts evaluations of nursing care provided by personal observations, review of records, reports, and other available data. Certifies all resident admissions and readmission to the facility according to the Kentucky Medicaid Long Term Care Regulations. Orders resident equipment and devices when applicable. Provides training to nursing staff regarding facility changes or performance as needed. Conducts in-service training for facility staff. Provide training and monitors training provided by assigned mentors of new nurses. Initiates and completes nursing facility internal investigations involving nursing service personnel, to include reporting to facility administration. Medication administration and resident physical assessment and any nursing treatment / procedures as assigned.
Must Haves :
- Kentucky or Compact RN license
- Charge or Supervisory experience
- BLS certification
