This position supports the growth and retention of SAIL members, service providers, and volunteers.

Education
Minimum associate degree in health, human and/or social services, or related field. Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field is preferred.

- Connects with organizations and businesses in Dane County that support aging well via services, programs, and other resources.
- Connects with organizations and businesses that work with older adults and/or their families to help educate them about the mission of SAIL and the resources and opportunities SAIL offers.
- Works collaboratively with the SAIL staff team in planning educational programs and social events.
- Tracks relationships, participation, collaborative activities and makes recommendations to leadership for any formal collaborations—one time or ongoing.
- Engage with SAIL members to get to know them and learn about their needs, interests, and preferences.
- Engage with current Service Providers (this includes Professional Service Providers) to learn about their services and explores opportunities to enhance the value of SAIL membership via the offerings of Service Providers or others.
- Recruits new service providers to support member needs and requests.
- Match member service requests with volunteers or paid service provider suggestions and connects members; regularly communicating with members and following up as needed; serves as an advocate as needed.
- Collaborate with staff team members including Volunteer and Member Services Specialist, Office Coordinator, and Safe at Home Program Coordinator to problem solve, provide updates, etc.
- Ensure completed requests, volunteer notes, service provider notes, and other data are added to Club Express to ensure proper tracking of activities and contacts with volunteers and service providers.
- Communicates with Office Coordinator to ensure on-boarding and off-boarding of service providers steps are completed.
- Authors and submits an updated report and/or articles for the SAIL Messenger on a regular basis to help members stay informed.
- Works collaboratively with team members and members of the SAIL Teams and the SAIL Operating Council when requested to find solutions.
- Assists with Rise and Shine check in service—occasionally during the week and/or weekend coverage.
- Assists in maintaining, through personal conduct, an atmosphere that is efficient, organized, professional, and friendly.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn Club Express.

- General interest in working with older adults; willingness to continually learn about aging and how to help older adults age successfully.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Knowledge of and understanding of functional changes and challenges facing older adults.
