Description
The Engineering Intern assists in supporting the research and development processes through design for manufacturing measurements, analysis, and recommendations to bring the highest quality products to our customers.
- Create and update bill of materials (BOM) to import into Odoo ERP system.
- Document new processes in Odoo ERP system.
- Perform time studies to capture current build times (as needed).
- Update assembly layouts using AutoCAD (as needed).
· Updating drawings as needed
· Process knowledge (Ability to map processes and create instructions)
· Basic Engineering and Manufacturing knowledge
· Design (Mechanical) Ability
· Ability to measure parts (i.e. use tools such as Micrometers and calipers
· General maintenance of machine and minor repairs to equipment
· Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
· Comply with Oakworks’ company rules, policies, and procedures, including safety, quality, department specific rules, and maintaining proprietary and confidential Company and employee information
· Ability to follow instructions.
· Willingness to learn new and improve current skills in an environment of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Must have post High School Degree and be an Engineering Major in College. Physical requirements include ability to stand and walk daily for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs.
