At Oasis Ascent, we provide thorough assessments, around-the-clock secure care, and intensive support to young women in crisis, while their families work with licensed clinicians to determine the underlying causes of distress and the next steps for their needs. As a housekeeper, you will play an essential role in providing a clean and inviting environment where the healing process can occur.
Working as part of our larger team, you will ensure that our facilities are well-maintained and organized, allowing our staff to focus on providing the highest level of care to our students. Your attention to detail and dedication to creating a safe and clean environment will contribute to the success of our program and the well-being of our students.
In addition to your housekeeping duties, you will also have the opportunity to be a part of our integrated care services and contribute to fostering the healing process. By supporting healthy relationships, providing novel and challenging experiences, and taking a strengths-based approach, you will help create lasting change for our students.

Responsibilities:
1. General Cleaning & Sanitization- Maintain clean, organized, and calming environments to support youth well-being.
- Perform daily cleaning of common areas, including living rooms, hallways, and therapy rooms.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors to prevent dust buildup and maintain hygiene.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and furniture to prevent the spread of germs.
- Respect resident privacy while ensuring rooms remain tidy, safe, and sanitary.
- Change bed linens and clean mattresses as needed.
- Empty trash and remove any clutter that could pose a safety risk.
- Ensure rooms are free of hazardous materials (e.g., sharp objects, unsecured cords).
- Disinfect toilets, sinks, showers, and floors at least once daily.
- Refill soap, toilet paper, and paper towels to encourage personal hygiene.
- Monitor for mold or mildew and address any plumbing issues promptly.
- Clean and sanitize dining tables, chairs, and countertops after each meal.
- Keep trash bins emptied and sanitized to prevent odors and pests.
- Follow all infection control protocols, including proper use of cleaning agents.
- Ensure cleaning supplies are secured and out of resident reach to prevent misuse.
- Remove any potential hazards, such as spills, loose objects, or unsecured furniture.
- Report any facility maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures, leaks, electrical concerns).
- Be mindful of trauma-informed care principles when interacting with residents.
- Avoid sudden or loud cleaning activities that could trigger anxiety or distress.
- Maintain a calm and non-disruptive presence while working in therapeutic spaces.
- Ensuring spacial awareness and keeping cleaning carts away from high risk teens/ locked out of sight when unattended.
- Work closely with clinical staff and supervisors to ensure the environment meets residents' emotional and physical needs.
- Report any concerning behaviors, safety risks, or unusual messes that could indicate distress in a resident.
- Adapt cleaning schedules to minimize disruptions during therapy sessions and activities.

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Able to pass criminal investigation background check
- Able to pass motor vehicle record check (if applicable)
- Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)
- First Aid & CPR certified (we may provide)
- Working knowledge of computers
