Position Summary :
The Assistant Housekeeping and Laundry Manager will assist in overseeing the housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure that all resident rooms, common areas, and laundry services meet high cleanliness and quality standards. This role requires a strong ability to lead and manage staff, maintain efficient operations, and provide compassionate service for the well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Supervise and train housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring they meet performance expectations and follow best practices in their duties.
- Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met.
- Oversee the laundering of resident linens, personal items, and facility laundry, ensuring proper handling, washing, folding, and distribution.
- Manage laundry equipment and supplies, including tracking inventory and coordinating maintenance as needed.
- Ensure housekeeping supplies are stocked and available for staff use and that all work areas are organized and efficient.
- Assist in creating and maintaining schedules for housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure adequate coverage and service.
- Address resident requests and concerns related to housekeeping and laundry in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments, including nursing and administration, to ensure residents' needs are met and to provide excellent service.
- Assist in maintaining the departmental budget, controlling costs, and improving operational efficiencies.
- Foster a positive and supportive working environment, promoting teamwork and communication among staff.
