Health Director (Nurse or EMT) – Summer 2025

This position is based in Brookville, Nassau County, Long Island, and runs from June 30th – August 22nd (camp is closed on July 4th).
Who We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate is a caring, energetic, and detail-oriented professional with strong social skills and a passion for working with children.
Qualifications
Health Directors must be one of the following:
NYS Licensed Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Additionally, candidates must have:
· A current certification in Responding to Emergency First Aid (American Red Cross)
· A CPR certification completed within the past year
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee all medical issues and emergencies that occur on-site
· Manage medical documentation and ensure compliance with health regulations
· Work closely with campers, staff, and families on a daily basis
· Ensure adherence to Department of Health rules and regulations
· Implement safety systems to prevent illness and injury
· Maintain and manage all medical supplies
· Dispense medication and maintain accurate records
Address any physical or emotional needs of campers
