We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and care for individuals in various settings, including group homes and private residences. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and an understanding of resident rights.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Support individuals with disabilities by facilitating their daily routines and activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive engagement, particularly for those in memory care.
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure dignity is maintained at all times.
Requirements
- Completed Criminal Background Check through California Department of Justice
- Registered fingerprint-based Live Scan
- Registered in California Home Care Aide Registry
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Drivers License
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is mandatory
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient information is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of clients.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Understanding of patient care principles, including meal preparation and hygiene practices.
- Experience in home health or group home settings is beneficial but not required.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 100 – 120 per week
