Caregiver ( NO WEEKENDS / IMMEDIATE HIRE)

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with clients who may have varying levels of physical and cognitive abilities, including those with autism and other long-term care needs. Your contributions will be vital in enhancing their quality of life and promoting independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide patient observation to monitor changes in health status and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Support clients in participating in social activities and community engagement.
• Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to help clients move or transfer safely.
• Foster a positive and supportive relationship with clients, encouraging their independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of medication administration practices is a plus.
• Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or in a group home setting is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of patient observation techniques and the ability to recognize changes in client behavior or health status.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality is maintained at all times.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed while assisting clients.
• Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and healthcare teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
