PCA/Caregiver

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those in long-term care or retirement home settings. Duties

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Help with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Support clients with mobility and transportation, including driving as needed.
• Administer basic first aid when necessary and report any health concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Engage clients in social activities and promote their overall well-being.
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Previous experience in long-term care or retirement home settings is preferred.
• Strong caregiving skills with a genuine passion for helping others.
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks as part of maintaining a safe environment.
• Knowledge of meal preparation and dietary requirements.
• Familiarity with first aid practices is an advantage.
• Experience in social work or direct support roles is beneficial.
• Valid driver's license may be required for transportation duties.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
