Caregiver

• Oasis Homecare is seeking to hire an experienced part-time caregiver to join our team in Greenville area. We have an immediate part-time position available. You can make a difference in your career by helping people stay in the comfort of their homes . Candidate must be available to Monday-Friday 9am to 3pm pm with potential for additional hours

Responsibilities and Duties:
Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):
· Personal care (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair)
· Ambulation/Transfers
· Eating
· Dressing/Shaving
· Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
· Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments.
· Performs housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathroom
Performs patient-specific activities that are taught by a our nurse . These could include (but are not limited to):
· Medication reminders
· Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
· Measuring and preparing special diets
· Incontinence care

Qualifications and Skills:

• Reliable Transportation
• Great Communication Skills
• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• 1 year of experience as a Caregiver/ Personal Care Assistant in the homes or facilities.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle

Other Duties:

• Reading, writing, and carrying out directions
• Charting or taking notes for others to review
• Providing companionship and supportive listening
• Reporting changes in the health or status of the client
• Feeding clients
• Transporting client to appointments
• Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport
• Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
