What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach Coordinator position at OASIS, INC?
The Outreach Coordinator is part of our community outreach and education team. This is not a direct client services role, although all OASIS staff are trained and expected to support client services staff when needed.
The ideal candidate will be someone who takes initiative, is eager to make connections, and has experience in community education. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities
- Support Director of Community Programs in implementation of OASIS public relations. Distribute information to area media regarding OASIS activities and services. Work to accomplish this with outreach team.
- Responsible for the co-development and implementation of all educational and outreach prevention programs about OASIS, domestic violence and sexual assault in Watauga and Avery Counties. Programs will be offered to: grades 6-12, university and college, recreational programs, parent groups, civic and religious organizations, business and professionals, law enforcement, and other agency personnel.
- Coordinate website and social media management, including content creation.
- Coordinate spring and fall newsletter projects and monthly digital newsletters.
- Assist the Director of Community Programs in fundraising. This includes: relationship fundraising, special events, the annual sponsorship mailing, the end-of-year mailing, holiday cards, etc.
- Support donor correspondence including maintaining donor database, thank you letters, and requests.
- Assist Executive and Associate Directors with grant writing, grant management, and grant reporting. This includes having a strong working knowledge of the agency budget and assisting Executive and Associate Directors in adapting to funding changes.
- Facilitate and manage community requests to hold fundraisers for OASIS.
- Keep abreast of current developments related to domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse and distribute relevant information to staff. This includes assisting in the development and maintenance of the resource library (books, films, and other materials) and making recommendations to the Director of Community Programs for additional acquisitions.
- Attend Board meetings and represent OASIS at community meetings as needed.
