Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to lead our bar team and oversee daily operations here at Brick and Tap, the sports bar located INSIDE Oasis Lanes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong understanding of food and beverage service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing the bar environment, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of quality and service.
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the bar, including staff management, inventory control, and customer service.
- Develop and implement innovative drink menus that align with current trends and customer preferences.
- Train, mentor, and develop bar staff in bartending techniques, food handling practices, and customer service excellence.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and alcohol service.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and place orders as needed to maintain optimal supply levels.
- Handle cash management processes including POS transactions using Toast POS system.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service between the bar and dining areas.
- Address customer inquiries or complaints promptly to enhance their experience.
- Manage live music nights as well as CREATE new signature night outs such as Karaoke night, Trivia night, reverse happy hours, NFL draft parties etc etc.
Skills
- Proficient in bartending with a strong knowledge of drink recipes and menu developing.
- Experience with food handling practices to ensure safe preparation and serving of food items.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong skills in interviewing potential staff members to build a competent team.
- Ability to develop training programs that enhance staff performance in both bartending and food service.
- Knowledge of culinary principles as they relate to beverage pairings and menu development.
- Excellent organizational skills for effective inventory control and management.
