Position Summary Chord Energy is seeking an experienced Joint Interest Billing ("JIB") and Accounts Receivable ("AR") accountant to join the JIB / AR group to support the Operations Accounting Department. This position reports to the Accounting Supervisor and is located in downtown Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays.Level and salary commensuratewith experience. Essential Job Functions
- Assist with monthly Joint Interest Billing process
- Process monthly working interest changes and rebills
- Review and resolve working interest owner aging receivable balances
- Apply cash received to outstanding accounts receivables
- Address owner inquiries related to receivable balances
- Prepare and record journal entries for monthly close
- Prepare account reconciliations
- Identify and assist in implementation of process improvement projects
- Train and mentor less experienced team members
- Handle and / or assist with special projects or other accountingrelated assignments as requested
- Other duties include but not limited to :
Maintain SOX controls, policies and procedures related to specific job duties
