Your Mission: Lead a Culture of Excellence & Elegance
As the Director of Nursing at Oasis Point, you will serve as both clinical leader and hospitality ambassador, guiding our interdisciplinary nursing team to deliver unmatched care in an environment designed to soothe the spirit and restore the body. This role requires someone who thrives in a high tech, high touch environment, combining deep knowledge of IRF regulations with a concierge level mindset.
You will be responsible for overseeing all nursing operations within our IRF, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and leading initiatives to enhance patient care quality. Your leadership will drive collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective nursing practices that support patient rehabilitation goals while maintaining our exceptional standards.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Regulatory Leadership
Uphold the highest standards of inpatient rehabilitation in alignment with CMS IRF Conditions of Participation, including the critical 3 hour therapy rule and 24 hour RN coverage requirement.
Ensure strict adherence to documentation standards for IRF PAI, therapy intensity, and medical necessity, safeguarding reimbursement integrity and supporting accurate data collection.
Lead readiness for state surveys, Joint Commission or CARF accreditation, and continuous performance improvement initiatives.
Maintain compliance with Louisiana state nursing regulations, which mandate that the DON is a full time RN with at least three years of clinical nursing experience, including one year in rehabilitative nursing care.
Patient Experience Stewardship
Infuse nursing operations with the spirit of hospitality, ensuring compassionate, prompt, and personalized care that feels five star.
Oversee smart room integrations and luxury patient centered services, ensuring that clinical efficiency never compromises the guest experience.
Round daily to ensure care consistency and address concerns proactively, reinforcing a culture of warmth and excellence.
Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction metrics consistently.
Team Development & Empowerment
Recruit, mentor, and retain top tier nursing talent, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and joy in practice.
Champion professional development through RN and LPN specific growth tracks, bedside leadership models, and wellness initiatives for staff resilience.
Create a nursing excellence dashboard aligned with hospital census, acuity, outcomes, and patient satisfaction data.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing education opportunities to develop clinical expertise across all nursing staff levels.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Work side by side with therapy, case management, hospitality, nutrition, and robotics teams to deliver seamless care.
Serve as the clinical anchor in administrative meetings, guiding decisions that impact patient outcomes, length of stay, and care transitions.
Lead daily clinical rounds and ensure effective communication among the entire care team to support rehabilitation goals.
Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with infection control protocols while maintaining our luxury care experience.
