Job Title: Activities Coordinator – Recuperative Care Facility

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and energetic Activities Coordinator to join our team at a recuperative care facility. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others feel connected, encouraged, and engaged in a calm, friendly environment. You’ll play a vital part in supporting patients’ recovery through meaningful activities that promote physical fitness, mental engagement, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead inclusive group and individual activities designed to support both physical movement and cognitive stimulation.
- Encourage patient participation in a respectful and motivational way.
- Foster a calming, friendly environment that supports healing and social connection.
- Promote light physical fitness through safe and accessible activities (e.g., chair yoga, stretching, light movement exercises).
- Offer mentally stimulating activities such as games, arts and crafts, music sessions, and conversation circles.
- Be available for on-call shifts at least 1–2 times per week, including some weekends or holidays.
- Work closely with facility staff to ensure activities meet the diverse needs of our patients.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare, senior care, or rehabilitation setting is a plus.
- A warm, outgoing personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to design and adapt activities that accommodate a range of physical and mental abilities.
- Reliable and flexible with availability for on-call scheduling.
