What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional-Faith Based ESE/Inclusion K-12 Education position at OASN & Subsidiary School Ocala Preparatory Academy?
Paraprofessional position available with our small faith based (Christian) non profit organization providing inclusion, holistic, hands on academic programs for typically developing children and children diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders. This position will be working with K-12 students in different classrooms as needed throughout the instructional day. Schedules are made based on the needs of our students. This position is 35 (to maximum of 40 hours) hours per week position, M-F 8am-3pm. No Medical or Dental Benefits offered. Paid time off during the following dates: All major holidays, Thanksgiving week, Christmas break, Spring Break. Subject to change as needed to fulfill minimum instructional days due to weather, etc. Additionally, we offered accrued sick and paid time off. Position ends on May 24, 2024 with an option for employment in our half day summer program Tuesday-Friday for the month of June.
MIN REQUIREMENTS: You must have a minimum one year experience working in a classroom setting, preferably ESE students. Additionally, you must also have AA or AS degree OR 60 college credit hours OR Successful completion of the paraprofessional test OR alternatively, at our discretion, 5 years experience in a paraprofessional position.
You must pass a Level 2 Background screen to be considered for any position at our non profit organization. This is not an offer of employment. Be prepared to spend up to 2 hours onsite interviewing and spending time in one or more classrooms to be considered for employment.
