Responsibilities
Champion the organization’s, program’s, and unit’s philosophy of care.
Supervise and mentor the nursing management team.
Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, referral sources, and employees.
Prepare and present monthly reports to leadership.
Ensure compliance with state nursing regulations and facility standards.
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Current, unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing (Washington).
Prior experience in behavioral health or psychiatric care.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Previous leadership experience in inpatient behavioral health or psychiatric settings.
Additional Requirements
Postgraduate degree in nursing or a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, business administration), or equivalent knowledge / skills with a plan to obtain such qualifications.
CPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment (prior to patient contact).
Preferred : Experience in psychiatric healthcare facilities, including chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patient care; skills in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning, and collaboration with external review organizations; prior leadership experience.
