Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SCADA Engineer with a strong foundation in PowerOn Reliance and C programming. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining critical SCADA systems for the power and utility industry.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement SCADA systems utilizing PowerOn Reliance software, collaborating closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Leverage C programming expertise to develop custom modules, libraries, and components to enhance system functionality and performance.
- Configure and customize PowerOn Reliance applications, including the development of user-friendly HMI screens and the implementation of complex logic and control algorithms.
- Integrate SCADA systems with various field devices, such as PLCs, RTUs, and IEDs, utilizing C programming techniques.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of SCADA systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to PowerOn Reliance, C , and SCADA system operations.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect SCADA systems from cyber threats.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement necessary safeguards to ensure system integrity and data confidentiality.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture, configuration details, and user manuals.
- Provide training and support to end-users on SCADA system operation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful project delivery, including developing project plans, managing timelines, and mitigating risks.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a SCADA Engineer with a strong focus on PowerOn Reliance and hands-on experience with C programming.
- In-depth knowledge of SCADA concepts, protocols (e.g., DNP3, Modbus), and communication technologies.
- Proficiency in configuring and programming PowerOn Reliance applications, including HMI development and complex logic implementation.
- Experience integrating SCADA systems with PLCs, RTUs, and IEDs using C programming techniques.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices for SCADA systems and the ability to apply secure coding practices in C .
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
