What’s The Job?
This position is responsible for identifying and securing materials that meet product and business requirements. You'll partner closely with R&D to support innovation through strategic supplier selection and ingredient sourcing. You will negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and play a key role in onboarding new suppliers into our network. Working proactively with finance to address pricing changes, you will monitor market trends and material cost drivers. This position is critical in building strong supplier relationships and ensuring supply continuity in a fast-paced, growing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing, Stop Scanning and Read This Part
- Partner with R&D to identify, evaluate, and source new ingredients and materials that align with product development needs.
- Lead supplier qualification and onboarding, ensuring alignment with company standards, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory compliance.
- Own contract negotiations for pricing, terms, supply agreements, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Establish and monitor key supplier performance metrics (e.g., quality, service, lead times, cost competitiveness) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay ahead of industry headwinds and tailwinds by tracking market trends, commodity pricing, and supply chain disruptions.
- Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders (finance, leadership, operations) on cost drivers, risks, and potential pricing changes.
- Act as a strategic liaison between sourcing, R&D, operations, finance, and quality teams to ensure alignment on material availability, cost targets, and innovation goals.
- Support supply chain planning by ensuring supplier commitments align with demand forecasts and inventory strategies.
- Proactively identify and mitigate sourcing risks, ensuring business continuity and supplier diversification where necessary.
- Drive process efficiencies in supplier selection, contract execution, and performance tracking.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sourcing documentation, pricing agreements, and supplier performance records.
What You’ve Done And Who You Are
- Experience and desire to support a culture built on collaboration, sharing of ideas and celebration of successes as well as drive for positive outcomes with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Food Science or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in sourcing procurement, SC, preferably within the CPG or F&B industry
- Demonstrated experience with contract negotiations and supplier relationship management
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (can you concatenate?)
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Team oriented, driven to share learnings and knowledge amongst our teams to ensure optimum solutions

Physical Demands
