International Relief – Virginia Beach, VA
Operation Blessing (OB) is seeking an experienced Programs Manager to provide strategic planning, development, technical oversight, and general management to OB’s Livelihood and Food Security programs to include microenterprise, agriculture, animal husbandry, and vocational training initiatives in Latin America and Africa.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications
- At least two years of experience in microenterprise, agriculture, animal husbandry, food security, or livelihood programs within a nonprofit organization
- Bachelors’ degree in Business, Agribusiness, or other related field preferred
- Previous experience in nonprofit humanitarian development
- Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to learn new software and technology
- Extensive knowledge of cross-cultural environments and customs
- Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities with the capacity to make sound recommendations and decisions
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative, think innovatively, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to train others
- Strong ability to establish professional rapport with individuals at all levels, including management, staff and the public
- Flexible and able to perform well under pressure while consistently meeting deadlines
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as assigned, up to 30% annually, primarily to Latin America and Africa
- Spanish proficiency preferred

- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Virginia Beach, VA
