OB/GYN RN/LPN

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate OB/GYN RN to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to women throughout their pregnancy and gynecological health. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The OB/GYN Nurse will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in various settings, including medical office and via phone calls.
• Assist with prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care for expectant mothers.
• Conduct assessments and monitor patients' vital signs and overall health.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive care, etc.
• Assist with procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as ECW.
• Support patients with behavioral health needs and provide appropriate referrals when necessary, etc.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Experience in obstetrics/gynecology or related nursing fields is preferred.
• Strong background in patient care, including Labor and Delivery or emergency medicine experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, particularly Epic, is advantageous.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in women's health nursing.
