Position Summary: The Manager – Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for managing the process of forecasting and budgeting in the company. This position manages the activities of budget and planning staff in carrying out responsibility for budget and forecast preparation, analysis and related responsibilities such as reporting, compliance and systems maintenance.
Position Responsibilities: Essential
- Preparing accurate and professional ad hoc, weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.
- Manages preparation of the annual budget with an emphasis on correctness, accuracy and completeness; and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.
- Updates corporate forecast as appropriate throughout the year to ensure management is constantly informed on changes impacting performance relative to annual plan
- Managing the performance and development of FP&A staff.
- Manages the preparation of the appropriate input templates for departmental use in submitting budget and forecast requests.
- Manages the consolidating of data for budget presentation and providing an overview of the financial status of all operations.
- Facilitating management and employee understanding of budget and planning policies and procedures.
- Supporting accounting close & reporting activities as required.
- Identify and implement best practices in budgeting, planning, analysis and reporting.
- Develops and manages department’s budget; monitors expenditures to ensure budget adherence.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education
- Five plus years experience in an FP&A or accounting role, strong understanding forecasting/planning and reporting to an executive team
- 4 year Accounting or Finance degree from an accredited college or university
- Demonstrated strong ability to analyze budgetary and planning data including reconciliation of data.
- Ability to problem solve, apply reason, take initiative, use judgment, and perform multiple concurrent tasks.
- Robust analytical and modeling skills and strong financial acumen.
- Managerial/supervisory experience.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- A positive “can do” attitude. A self-starter who is proactive in solving problems and getting results.
- Comprehensive knowledge of budgeting and planning systems.
- Attention to detail/accuracy.
- Must be professional, team-oriented, well-organized, detail-oriented and able to adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Must be able to relate well to individuals at various levels.
- Highly ethical and trustworthy, unwavering integrity.

Preferred Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education
- Experience with Workday Adaptive preferred.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or Accountancy preferred.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred.

Annual Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000
