The Cat in the Cream Coffeehouse Manager will serve the campus and community as part of the team that operates the Cat in the Cream in Hales Annex.

Applicants must possess the ability to maintain a pleasant demeanor during stressful interactions with patrons and performers. Promptness and ability to work with close attention to detail and high accuracy are required. Must be willing to work a variable schedule that includes Friday and Saturday nights and attend weekly staff meetings from 4:30-6 p.m. each Tuesday.
Applicants should have energetic and upbeat attitudes. Previous money-handling, customer service, baking, or sound reinforcement experience preferred.

Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Provide stellar service to a diverse mix of patrons, including students, staff, faculty, and community members.
- General Duties: Prepare facility for programs, supervise the operation of the coffeehouse, routine cleaning, and secure the building at closing.
- Audio & Lighting: Operate sound system and stage lighting during performances for which Concert Sound or Con Audio are not hired.
- Food & Drink: Prepare and serve cookies and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Deposits: Responsibility for change fund and daily cash flow, including deposits.
- Participation: Participate in organizational decision-making at Tuesday 4:30-6 p.m. staff meetings and create and facilitate some in-house programming for the coffeehouse.
- Additional Roles: Cat in the Cream staff must take on a specialized role (such as Treasurer, Show Advancer, Publicity Manager, Food Manager, Show Booker/Promoter, etc.)
