Oberlin College & Conservatory is seeking two (2) students to fill the role of “Orientation Leaders”! Orientation Leaders are students who work alongside the Office of Student Leadership & Involvement, PALS, and RA’s to welcome incoming students to Oberlin College & Conservatory.
Orientation leaders are an integral part of creating an inviting culture on-campus and promoting student success as students transition to Oberlin College.
This role will be just over a three-week commitment (Monday, August 18 – Sunday, September 7, 2025) that includes participating in training, the 2025 Orientation, and “Welcome Week”. Applications are due by Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

Responsibilities
- Assist with Orientation and Welcome Week programs including, but not limited to, the Resource Fairs, Connect Cleveland, the Late-Night Breakfast, Taste of Oberlin, and more!
- Help track attendance and engagement at all Orientation and Welcome Week programs.
- Lead organized campus tours for new students and families during move-in.
- Serve as a concierge for new students and families looking for activities during the orientation period.
- Answer questions and serve as a resource for new students and families.
- Exude school spirit and be a great representative of Oberlin College & Conservatory!
Qualifications
Must have completed at least one academic semester by the Fall 2025 Orientation.
Unfortunately, Orientation Leaders may not be a Resident Assistant (RA) or Peer Advising Leader (PAL), due to overlap of time commitments.

Compensation
- $750 stipend.
- Receive early-arrival housing and meals.
- Receive free Oberlin swag, including T-shirts and other promotional materials.
