Warehouse Operator - 3rd Shift

The Oberto team has an opening for the critical position of Warehouse Operator for our 3rd shift. The Distribution Operator is responsible for achieving company distribution goals while ensuring employee and product safety.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in a safe manner, as per company safety guidelines.
  • Help maintain a safe working environment by ensuring that the DC safety equipment (fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, etc.) are always in good working order.
  • Promote a culture of safety in the warehouse environment.
  • Maintain the DC in accordance with quality and cleanliness guidelines as set forth from Oberto, USDA, SQF, and pertinent third-party auditing agencies. Follow good housekeeping practices and keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Check inbound materials to confirm order fulfillment accuracy and ensure the correct appearance of product before it is received into inventory.
  • Maintain a positive attendance schedule.
  • Work safely always and follow Oberto safety policies and procedures, including the use of correct PPE where required.
  • Inspect all inbound freight carefully to determine if there is damage or shortages. Note all discrepancies on the shipment paperwork and communicate all issues to your lead and supervisor.
  • Complete job responsibilities to ensure the highest level of productivity and safety.
  • Perform a variety of tasks in the distribution process including picking, staging, counting, verifying, stacking, and loading of Oberto materials to send to offsite facilities.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts daily (or more frequently if required).
  • Troubleshoot problems as quickly and accurately as possible. Ensure the resolution of issues by communicating with DC Leadership and other concerned departments.
  • Be able to multi-task and follow through on assignments.

Functional / Reporting:

  • Fill out all DC documents completely and accurately.
  • Operate RF scanner to perform various warehouse transactions.
  • Coordinate with DC Leadership team to arrange trans-DC shipments of product and supplies.
  • Complete daily cycle counts consistently and report any inventory issues to your lead or supervisor.
  • Help monitor facilities and equipment and communicate issues with DC supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Related job duties as required.

SCHEDULE:

3rd shift, with overtime required during peak summer/fall production.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6 months manufacturing experience preferred

Pay: $18.50 - $21.83 per hour
