Medical Receptionist / Checkout Position
We are a busy OBGYN practice location in Lafayette, La. Our number one priority is providing exceptional care to our patients. The candidate must be able to work in a fast pace environment while always providing exceptional care and compassion to all patients and a positive attitude toward all fellow team members. Candidate much have strong attention to detail and be highly motivated to be part of the practice's success and growth. We are looking for a Medical Receptionist / Front Office Scheduler to aid the medical front office staff by performing the duties and responsivities outlined below.
JOB RESPONSILIBILITIES:
-Candidate must provide exceptional care to all patients and have a positive attitude toward all fellow team members.
-Assists with high volume check-out reception work and processing patient payments.
-Promptly answers incoming telephone calls and routes them to the appropriate person while always practicing proper phone etiquette.
-Overlooking five providers' clinic schedules. High volume of rescheduling and shifting appointments in an OBGYN office setting.
-Ensure all patient charts are assembled fully prior to date of patient's appointment. This includes ensuring all patient's sign of release of information if needed and all records pertaining to this patient's medical care with out practice are obtained prior to the patient's scheduled appointment.
-Assists front office with scanning of any patient information into the EMR.
-Willing to perform any other duties as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
-High School Diploma required
-Previous Medical Office experience preferred
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
-Completes annual mandatory requirements
