High volume OB/GYN office is looking to hire a nurse with excellent GPA to join our team, who desires to make a real difference in patients' lives by providing superior patient care and working in clinical aspects of the medical office. Our office is located in Brookline and is T accessible.
Requirements:
- Native proficiency in English
- A degree in nursing, recent graduate encouraged;

Position duties include:
- Triage patient phone calls to facilitate appropriate level of care, coordinate office visits or urgent care visits, initiate basic diagnostic tests;
- Be in charge of test results: Communicate complicated test results with patients at doctor's request and basic results per routine;
- Call patients for follow up on symptoms or Emergency Room visits or hospital discharge and arrange follow up as needed;
- Communicate with consultants to follow up patient management;
- Prepare and maintain clinical supplies and equipment related independent care management;
- Handle vaccine administration support;
- Conduct patient education visits;
- Manage immunization inventory along with medical assistants;
- Take patients' vitals and collect urine specimen as needed; record all results accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR);
- Reconcile patient information, such as allergies and medications and other pertinent “Facesheet” information in EMR;
- Room patients with appropriate instructions;
- Assist providers with bedside gynecologic procedures;
- Administer injections and keep accurate records in log book;
- Call and electronically transmit prescriptions;
- Call patients with results or orders as directed by provider;
- Answer and triage patient questions/phone calls;
- Prepare all charts for future appointments;
- Maintain work area, exam room, supplies, medications and immunizations
Administrative duties include:
- Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments;
- Answering telephone calls and receiving electronic message inquiries, and directing them appropriately when indicated;
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail;
- Creating and maintaining records in an electronic medical system;
- Assistance with patient requested clinical paperwork.
