Object Technology Solutions, Inc (OTSI) has an immediate opening for a Buyer.

Buyer – (Onsite – Manassas, VA)

Major Responsibilities:

· In this role, you will play a vital part in managing supplier interactions, performance, and relationships within your assigned category.

· You will partner closely with internal team members to thoroughly assess supplier performance.

· Your primary objective is to maintain the effectiveness of our sourcing initiatives.

· Furthermore, you will support and implement category strategies and projects aimed at reducing costs.

· Your involvement in benchmarking analysis will contribute to improving the cost efficiency, supply chain, and quality of our procurement processes.

· Supplier Performance Management

· Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize procurement processes

· Apply understanding of assigned category to drive effective planning, forecasting and execution.

· Utilize negotiation skills to maintain favourable terms with suppliers

· Collaborate internally to drive and develop key performance measures/metrics for key regional Suppliers and monitor supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement

· Apply analytical thinking to resolve procurement challenges.

· Leading the procurement process for your designated area

· Collaborating with internal counterparts to gain a comprehensive view of supplier performance

· Supporting the implementation of category strategies and cost-saving projects

· Participating in supplier benchmarking analysis to enhance cost, supply, and quality aspects of procurement activities

· Business Partnering

· Maintain positive relationships with supplier(s) and effectively resolve supplier performance/capability issues to ensure alignment with strategic direction.

· Partner with internal stakeholders to build a comprehensive view of supplier performance.

Experience and Qualifications:

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing or vendor management

· Preferred by not required bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business or related field

· A proven track record in procurement

· Proven experience in procurement, sourcing or vendor management

· Proficient in written and verbal communication and presentation skills

· Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
