Our role:
We are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our product development team in Sydney. The Software Engineer will be a member of the product development team, responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software products that meet customer needs.
This role involves full-stack development, including both front-end and back-end components, with a strong emphasis on quality, security, and customer satisfaction. The Software Engineer works as a member of a cross-functional team, helping to drive product innovation, support operational excellence, and improve software delivery practices.
This role reports to the Development Manager and does not have people management responsibilities.
- Design and build scalable, secure and performant web products.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and team members to understand requirements and implement high-quality features that address user needs.
- Contribute to roadmap discussions by providing technical insights and helping balance customer value, business impact, and feasibility.
- Maintain product quality by participating in operations, monitoring, documentation, and improving system reliability.
- Help foster a positive team culture by sharing ideas, improving team practices, and contributing to team initiatives.
- Assist and support colleagues through constructive feedback, code reviews, and improving internal tools and processes.
- Continuously develop technical skills and stay up to date with industry trends, sharing relevant insights with the team.
- Hands on experience in building SaaS and contemporary web applications.
- Demonstrated experience in Java development skills, in particular SpringBoot
- Experience in application development using TypeScript frameworks such as React.
- Understanding of databases and RESTful web services.
- Experience with automated testing.
- Understanding of contemporary cloud services, such as infrastructure (AWS), container orchestration, IaC, CI/CD, tooling, monitoring,
