We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end operations of our data labeling and sourcing projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, streamlining workflows, ensuring on-time project delivery, and upholding quality standards. You will play a pivotal role in scaling our operations, improving efficiency, and driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Strategy & Planning
- Develop, implement, and manage operational strategies aligned with company objectives and client requirements.
- Oversee resource planning, including staffing, budgeting, and vendor management, to meet project demands.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure operational success.
Project & Workflow Management
Oversee the project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.Design, implement, and monitor workflows that drive consistent, high-quality data labeling and sourcing outcomes.Allocate resources effectively, balancing team capacity with project requirements to optimize productivity.Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop operations teams, including data annotators, quality assurance specialists, and project coordinators.Identify staffing needs and participate in recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training programs.Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages professional growth and high performance.Quality Assurance & Compliance
Define quality standards and implement processes to ensure data labeling accuracy and consistency.Conduct regular audits, identify process gaps, and initiate corrective action plans to maintain quality benchmarks.Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and client-specific requirements.Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Analyze operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to adopt new tools, automation, or methodologies that enhance scalability and efficiency.Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitive insights to drive innovation in data labeling processes.Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as a primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders on operational matters.Provide regular project updates, manage expectations, and address concerns promptly to maintain high client satisfaction.Coordinate with Sales and Account Management teams to ensure alignment on project deliverables and timelines.Risk Management
Proactively identify potential risks—resource shortfalls, schedule delays, or quality issues—and develop mitigation strategies.Maintain robust contingency plans to handle fluctuations in workload or client requirements.Qualifications
Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).Minimum 7 years of experience in operations or project management, ideally in a data labeling, BPO, or technology services environment.Technical Skills & Expertise :
Familiarity with data annotation tools, project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Jira), and workflow automation.Solid understanding of machine learning and AI industry trends, especially regarding data sourcing and labeling processes.Proficiency in data analysis to measure KPIs and make data-driven decisions.Leadership & Soft Skills :
Proven track record of managing and mentoring diverse teams.Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.Other Requirements :
Demonstrated experience setting up or scaling operational processes.Must be comfortable working partially in India time zones, including a few evening hours, to collaborate closely with India-based team.High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.Ability to travel occasionally (if required by the role).Why Join Us
