The law firm of Oblon, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt LLP (“Oblon”) seeks Patent Agents or Technical Advisors experienced in patent application drafting and prosecution, with Japanese fluency to join its Electrical practice.
1-2 years patent application drafting or prosecution experience is required. We are seeking candidates with Japanese fluency and we require a technical background in the areas of electrical or computer engineering. Experience in drafting and/or prosecuting applications relating to software and AI preferred. A Master’s or Doctorate in the relevant field is a plus, as is industry experience. Candidates must possess superior technical knowledge, writing and communication skills. Responsibilities include drafting patent applications; analysis and preparation of replies to office actions; invention and disclosure meetings/calls with clients; and prosecution of patent applications.

The annual salary range for this position is $115,000 - $140,000. The salary offered will depend upon qualifications and experience.
