Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role is essential for supporting our accounting department and will involve a variety of bookkeeping tasks.
Duties
- Perform bank reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Assist in balance sheet reconciliation, verifying that all accounts are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain double entry bookkeeping practices to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Support technical accounting functions as needed, including the use of accounting software.
- Conduct account reconciliation to resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Assist with tax preparation and filing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete.
- Prepare journal entries for various transactions as required by the accounting team.
- Prepare and run payroll reports biweekly and monthly.
Skills
- Proficient in bank reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation techniques.
- Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles.
- Familiarity with technical accounting practices is preferred. .
- Knowledge of account reconciliation processes and tax regulations.
- Ability to perform general ledger reconciliation efficiently.
