Job Summary
The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Communication Specialist is responsible for guiding CooperVision, Inc. Customer Experience (CX) program communications and stakeholder engagement activities across multiple, diverse project implementations. This individual is responsible for developing and using communication plans to track stakeholder engagement for each specific project within it. The role is part of an OCM team which consults to Configuration Management Program sponsors, Program Management Office and project level team members.
The OCM Communication Specialist creates and develops content to enable program and project level stakeholder awareness, engagement and reinforcement of message related to the program vision and customer experience of CVI external customers. This includes composing content and messages, both independently as well as in collaboration with program and project teams, to launch awareness campaigns and provide internal and external stakeholder-specific communication. This also includes developing formats that are the best means to provide these messages to stakeholders – given the audience, purpose, and level of depth required. Formats may include OCM presentation materials, email bulletins, FAQs, talking points, intranet messages and other collateral.
The OCM Communications Specialist collaborates with Configuration Management Program/project team leaders, team members and multiple business tracks, locations and uses communications as a vehicle to enhance curiosity, competence, and confidence for the planned changes.
A successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, creativity, project management and communication skills, writing talent, and adaptability to changing priorities.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $36.46 and $48.61 per hour and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.

- Partner with program and site level Stakeholders, Leaders, Sponsors and cross-functional business/technical teams locally and globally.
- Develop and support targeted communication plans that increase awareness and engagement of impacted internal and external Stakeholders.
- Work with multiple team members to recommend, develop, and implement OCM communication strategies developing project/program collateral that builds awareness, provides information, and creates curiosity, competence for Configuration Management Program and are aligned to the specific change management activities.
- Manage development and execution of communications materials, such as FAQs, manager talking points, flyers, activity content (i.e. survey communications), adoption measurement tracking, data analysis results and presentations.
- Support the program and project teams to develop stakeholder/leader outreach and engagement efforts to create awareness, understanding and buy-in reinforcing the achievement of business outcomes.
- Plan communication collateral strategically with a keen eye towards ‘connecting the dots’ and being thoughtful about saturation and information overload of various enterprise-wide change initiatives.
- Maintain the appropriate usage of branding and department identity on all communications disseminated from OCM.
- Act in a self-directed, accountable way when completing tasks; willing to take initiative and manage responsibilities independently while meeting timelines.

- Demonstrated understanding and application of integrated organizational change management methodology. Prosci methodology preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple, complex projects concurrently while developing content, formats and methods
- Ability to understand and effectively distill complex, technical subjects into easy-to-understand language.
- Skilled at generating compelling, engaging and creative presentations and collateral.
- Highly collaborative with the ability to influence while at the same time developing and nurturing positive, effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work calmly under pressure using sound judgement and decision-making.
- Ability to consistently seek out team input and constructive feedback putting feedback to effective use while meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to consider diverse language and cultural communication practices when developing content for global audiences and stakeholders.

- Familiarity with desktop publishing software and web-based application development limitations and uses.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Advanced MS Office skills preferred.

- 4-7 years of enterprise, global communications experience using technology and multiple channels to generate communications and collateral.
- 4-7 years integrated change management methodology experience; Prosci Change Practitioner Certification preferred.
- Technology change experience, especially relative to enterprise system implementations, preferably using Oracle based ERP platform
- Enterprise-wide cross-functional project management and teamwork including business and technical audiences/partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Organizational Change Management or equivalent education, training, or experience.
