This global position supports the delivery of programs and initiatives within the Talent Management function, focused on Engagement, Performance Management, Employee Development Review, Succession Planning. This role interfaces with the internal Global Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness Team, the global HRBP community, global HR Systems team, and some external partners / vendors.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for supporting the planning, design, development, implementation, and follow-up of a variety of Talent Management programs and activities with oversight from the Director, Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness. Programs and activities include, but are not limited to:

  • OneCooper Employee Engagement Survey and Action Planning Initiative
  • OneCooper Performance Enablement Process (PEP) Deployment
  • OneCooper Employee Development Review (EDR) and Succession Planning
  • Gartner Partnership Management
  • Gallup Partnership Management

A program leadership role will be assigned for some talent management programs (ex. Engagement Survey, PEP).

Program / Activity Leadership, Coordination And Support

  • Develop detailed project plans and schedules to ensure timely and efficient preparation, implementation, and follow-up of talent management programs and activities.
  • Proactively monitor project and program timelines, activities, and tasks to ensure timely and effective delivery.
  • Monitor assigned external partnerships (ex. Gartner, Gallup) activity and value to ensure ROI.
  • Contribute to creation of a variety of program designs, business requirements, materials, and information (ex. PEP, EDR, succession planning, etc.).
  • Lead creation and delivery of specific program designs, business requirements, materials, and information (ex. engagement survey data management approach, survey design, PEP eligibility business reqs, etc.).
  • Provide input to strategy, program, process, and system continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Manage and resolve routine program inquires and issues from stakeholders (ex. Manage PEP eligibility issues with HR Systems and HRBPs, answer Engagement Survey process questions, etc.).
  • Monitor and track spending and consultant hours against established program and department budgets, proactively flag issues and concerns to supervisor.
  • Manage purchase order, invoicing and payment tasks for talent management programs and activities.

Communications And Learning Events

  • Develop and manage communication and learning event plans (ex. Global people manager webinars, train-the trainer sessions for HR, focus groups, office hours sessions, etc.).
  • Design, develop, and distribute materials and assets (ex. emails, training slides, FAQs, LinkedIn Learning assets, etc.) for global communications and learning events.
  • Co-facilitates (and occasionally leads facilitation) of global learning events and activities.

Partner And Stakeholder Collaboration / Communication

  • Collaborate and communicate professionally across a wide variety of internal employees in various locations globally. Leads communications with the HRBP community to drive program awareness, key activities and deadlines, usage of resources and tools (ex. Gartner Platform), etc.
  • Collaborate and communicate with some external partners to conduct research, coordinate services, and monitor deliverables.
  • Proactively identify stakeholder issues and develop solutions to enhance the user experience while maintaining global program standards.
  • Partner with appropriate stakeholders and key contacts to ensure the tools, documents and materials for programs are well organized and current in the on-line platforms.

Data And Reporting

  • Create and leverage tools, technology, or other mechanisms for tracking and reporting on program activities, milestones, and outcomes. Occasionally create ad hoc report summaries, tables and/or charts.
  • Produce a variety of information and status reports from My Cooper.
  • Leverage Microsoft Excel as needed to create updates, merge data, etc.
  • Review reports for accuracy and issues – follow-up with corrections as needed.
  • Occasionally create ad hoc report summaries, tables and/or charts.

Systems And Technology

  • Provide My Cooper system testing support to facilitate upgrades and functionality enhancements.
  • Partner with the HRIS team to escalate, troubleshoot and/or resolve My Cooper issues (ex. PEP eligibility, EDR functionality, etc.)

Travel

  • There may be occasional US or global travel required to attend critical business meetings – approx. 5% or less of time as required by the business and always with notice to help manage any life commitments.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Learning Agility: Open to learning and feedback. Has an interest in best practices related to Human Resources, Talent Management, Organizational Development, Leadership Development, and Inclusion and Diversity.
  • Technology Savvy: Able to leverage a variety technology to drive results, as well as learn new technology to support changing business needs. Proficient with Microsoft applications, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, and SharePoint. Experienced with pivot tables and V-LOOKUP formulas.
  • Planning: Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task and a commitment to timely follow-up. Solid project management skills – ability to establish tools and ways of working to ensure accurate and timely follow-up.
  • Drives Results: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. High sense of curiosity that drives independent and creative fact finding and problem solving. Takes accountability for meeting individual goals.

  • Talent Processes: General understanding of Human Resources processes, policies, and ability to learn / gain a more specialized level of knowledge related to talent management, organizational development, and leadership development processes. Able to manage confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.

Work Environment

  • Prolonged sitting in front of a computer reading data, creating program materials, reports and presentations.
  • Regular communication via email, phone, virtual meeting tools, and in-person meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Hybrid schedule applies, with on average 3 days based at the Global HQ Offices in San Ramon, CA and 2 days based at home or wherever. Role incumbent should expect to attend meetings in-person and virtually with the team and manager on west coast timings. Flexible working is part of our employee benefits program.

Experience

  • 3 – 5 years of general support experience within a Human Resources or Talent related function. Must be able to demonstrate use of technology to drive business results and meet individual goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to take on basic project leadership, preferably within a Human Resources or Talent related function. Shows interest in talent management, organizational development, and leadership best practices.
  • Experience in working across multiple cultures and countries is preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational Psychology or related field is preferred.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $79,236.00 and $105,648.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
