JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the procurement process, ensuring that our organization effectively sources and acquires the necessary goods and services. This position requires a strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations, supply chain management, and contract management. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and implementing procurement strategies that align with our organizational goals. The successful candidate will be expected to travel.
ROLES/TASKS OF THE POSITION:
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring high quality and reliability.
- Cost Control: Identify cost-saving opportunities through market research, supplier analysis, and process improvements.
- Procurement Strategy: Implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals, balancing quality, cost, and timely delivery.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms, mitigate risks, and manage vendor performance.
- Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels by coordinating with production and project managers to prevent shortages and excess.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Track and report key procurement metrics to drive continuous improvement in processes and performance.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. (Master’s degree or relevant certification like CPSM or CPIM is a plus.)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within the industrial manufacturing or cooling tower industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Analytical mindset, with experience in data-driven decision-making and cost analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ideally in procurement software.
PREREQUITES / REQUIREMENTS
- Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Score of a 2 or less in a DISA background screen.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
