What are the responsibilities and job description for the Media Adviser position at Observer Media Group?

For nearly 120 years, our employees have done just that. And now, the Observer Media Group, owners of the West Orange Times & Observer, Southwest Orange Observer and OrangeObserver.com in Winter Garden, Florida, is adding to its team to do more of it.
We are searching for a tenacious, savvy, creative and collaborative person to join us as a media adviser. In this role, you will be tasked with building relationships with our many local businesses and helping them prosper. We do this by connecting them to our dedicated, engaged audiences we have built in the print and digital landscapes.
As the only newspaper of record for the West Orange and Southwest Orange communities, we have long been the source of accurate, unbiased and useful information for the Winter Garden, Horizon West, Windermere, Dr. Phillips, Ocoee, Oakland communities (and beyond).
Our team of media and marketing experts has helped mom-and-pops create their entire brand identities. We’ve also assisted more established businesses in their quests market dominance. And we’ve done everything in-between. Here, you’ll have a chance to do it all — and the ideal candidate will have a great time doing it, too.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Build and maintain relationships with owners and marketing directors for small, medium and large businesses in the Central Florida market
• Create marketing campaigns utilizing the Observer’s print and digital platforms to help those businesses grow and succeed
• Collaborate with your Observer colleagues to ensure our platforms stay relevant and effective (yes, you will have a voice here!)
• Represent the Observer at various community events and functions
