Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting newspapers safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role involves driving the company van, delivering newspapers and may require heavy lifting. The Driver will ensure timely deliveries and maintain the integrity of the cargo throughout the transportation process.
Responsibilities
- Operate a company van.
- Execute route driving efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload newspapers.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Starting in Wheeling and delivering to the O-R in Washington some days and delivering to the D-P (Morgantown) and H-S (Uniontown) other days.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience preferred.
- Experience in moving or courier services is desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
