Tour Guide

Are you an enthusiastic, engaging storyteller with a love for the outdoors? We're looking for vibrant, professional, and responsible tour guides to lead unforgettable private tours of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. At Obsidian Expeditions, we pride ourselves on providing guests with a personal, educational, and memorable experience in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Whether you're semi-retired, a former teacher, or a veteran, if you love sharing knowledge, interacting with diverse groups, and exploring the beauty of nature, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Share the cultural and natural history of Yellowstone and Grand Teton with our guests interactively and engagingly.
• Lead safe, informative hikes and scenic drives, adjusting itineraries to guests' interests when possible.
• Prioritize guest comfort and safety, ensuring a positive and memorable experience throughout the tour.
• Represent Obsidian Expeditions' brand through creativity, professionalism, and passion. Help attract new customers by contributing to our social media.
• Work with unpredictable weather and varied altitudes while maintaining a positive and flexible attitude.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a Commercial Driver Medical Exam and hold current CPR, First Aid, and ServSafe certifications.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to connect with guests of all ages.
• Ability to drive 9-10 hours/day on both paved and unpaved roads and hike up to 5 miles daily.
• A good sense of humor, patience, and dependability.
• Experience in customer service and working independently in dynamic environments.
• Must have secure housing in the area.

What We Offer:

·       Competitive pay, ranging from $225-$375 per day based on experience.

·       Professional training and certification reimbursement up to $500.

·       Gratuities range from $50-$500 per tour, with higher amounts possible for longer tours and exceptional guest experiences.
