Job Description:
The Senior Low-Voltage Technician will oversee the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of low-voltage systems, including but not limited to audio/visual systems, security systems, telecommunications, and data networks. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute installation projects for low-voltage systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct diagnostic tests, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs on various low-voltage systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to plan and implement system designs and upgrades.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, advancements, and best practices to enhance skill set and knowledge base.
- Must have 3-4 years of proven experience as a Low-Voltage Technician, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
- Must have a Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Extensive knowledge of low-voltage systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of AV systems, including Savant, Lutron, or similar brands
- Familiarity with network configurations and IP-based AV solutions is a plus
- Ability to use hand and power tools for installations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, work on ladders, and in tight spaces
- Industry certifications (CTS, BICSI, OSHA, etc.) are a plus
