Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Systems Administrator II
· Manage virtual and physical Windows servers
· Manage Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and server and workstation patching
· Implement and support client local backups, replication and restore from backup as needed
· Maintain the integrity of server infrastructure by implementing industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
· Technical implementation and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
· Remote access solution implementation and support: VPN and Terminal Services
· Develop and maintain documentation about current environment setup, standard operating procedures, and best practices
· Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices
· Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and correct hardware and software issues on servers and workstations
· Practice server asset management, including maintenance of server component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information
· Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware upgrades, patches, and reconfigurations
· Works with Service Manager to develop client and sales goals
· Develop required reports in response to business user and management needs
· Manage vendors and contractors to secure software products and services
· Manage the physical environment of the server racks including cable management, documentation, and labeling
· Have extensive knowledge of NAS and SAN storage management
· Perform system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs
· Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
· Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
· Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve, and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner
· Knowledge of virtualization technologies and concepts. Hyper-V and VMWare ESXi
· MS Office (0365) deployment, migration, operation, and maintenance
· Storage provisioning, management, and backup; ability to assess storage needs and provide solutions
· Ability to speak to customers in clear terms about new products, different options, and answer any questions regarding those products and options

· Coordinate with network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to implement desktop and server systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives

· Manage technical teams to maintain clients at the highest level and execute projects with accuracy and efficiency

· Document client network, hardware, and credential changes in CRM
· Responsible for entering time and expenses in CRM as it occurs
· Work through a daily schedule in CRM that has been established through the dispatch process
· Understand and follow processes pertaining to CRM
· Enter all work as service tickets into CRM
· Review IT publications and online materials to remain up-to-date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry
· Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care
· Diagnosis skills of technical issues
· Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
· Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring approximately, e.g., 40 hours per week. You will be working five days per week, eight hours per day. These shifts can be 8 am-5 pm, from Monday to Friday.

Obsidian I.T. will pay up to $500 towards all full-time employees premiums when they enroll in the Companies offered group health insurance policy. Employees may add significant others, who fall into the insurance’s classification of a domestic partner, however, the employee is responsible for the full premium of their partner as well as any dependents.

Paid Time Off (PTO) policy
You will be eligible for 10 days of paid vacation leave per year. Paid time off is additional to sick days, holidays, and days that the company does not operate.
Obsidian IT provides PTO benefits for regular part-time and full-time employees. This PTO bank of time can be used for all personal time off. Accrual begins with the date of hire, and employees can use accrued PTO benefits after 90 continuous days of employment. In accordance with our policy, we will match your existing PTO of two-weeks. After your first, year of employment, your will move up to our three-weeks accrued PTO.

401k Retirement up to 4% matching contribution
A 401k Plan has been established for full-time employees. Participants may elect to have a certain percentage deducted from each paycheck. Please check with your HR department to find out the calendar year maximums.
In addition, the Company will match up to 4% per paycheck up to the maximum determined by our 401k plan and may change on a yearly basis.
Paid Sick Leave (PSL)
- All full-time employees, permanent part-time employees, and temporary employees receive.
- Will accrue 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked.
- Can use up to 40 hours per year.
- Accrual limit is 80 hours.
- Carry over is capped at 40 hours.
- New Hires: 24 hours available by 120th day of employment and 40 hours by their 200th day of employment.
- Employees past their 120th day of employment will receive an additional 16 hours Jan 1st.
- Employees under 120 days will accrue at the new rate.Any employee calling in sick more than three days in a row will need to provide a doctor’s note.
