Responsibilities
OBXtek is currently looking for a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer for the Department of Justice, National Security Division to manage IT Security Program involving services to include security control assessments, continuous monitoring, security information and event management, security architecture, security engineering, ISSO support, POA&Ms, security operations monitoring, cyber hunt, penetration testing, cyber threat intelligence analysis, incident response, and forensics, cloud security, and cybersecurity training.
Duties:
The Principal Cybersecurity Engineer will lead the technical efforts to ensure the secure and compliant operation of NSD systems, networks, and enclaves. This role includes developing and implementing system security plans, conducting risk assessments, and providing technical guidance on cybersecurity best practices3. The Principal Cybersecurity Engineer will also be responsible for delivering Authorization to Operate (ATO) and Authorization to Test (ATT) packages, as well as maintaining continuous monitoring for systems under ongoing authorization
Qualifications
Active Top Secret security clearance
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Knowledge of cloud security measures
- Experience in resolving issues and scheduling conflicts and solving complex problems
- Excellent listening skills and communication skills include oral, written, and formal presentations
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies desired
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is preferred
