Responsibilities
OBXtek is currently staffing for a IT Systems Technician, Journeyman position supporting the Army’s Global Enterprise Network Modernization – OCONUS (GENM-O) organization.
Below is a list of expectations the candidate must meet for this effort:
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze IT requirements to determine technology services and feasibility.
- Support the assessment, integration, and operability of software applications.
- Assist with global projects and program planning to support design and implementation.
- Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems.
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and upgrades according to established procedures.
- Provide technical support to end-users by resetting passwords, resolving connectivity problems, and addressing other user inquiries.
- Assist with user account creation, management, and access controls.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and best practices within the IT field.
Travel: Some travel can be expected (both OCONUS and CONUS)
Work Schedule: Full-time in office within the next 60 days; Currently Hybrid (1-2 day in office and remaining days telework per week)
Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance
Experience:
- 2 years (minimum) customer system administrative support
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- IAT Level II
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a Science related field
